Dr. Dhimiter Llambiri
Dr. Dhimiter Llambiri trained and completed his rotations in The Eye Institute of
Philadelphia and Bascom Palmer Eye Institute of Miami. A graduate of Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University, Dr. Llambiri specializes in Binocular Vision disorders and Vision Therapy.
Dr. Llambiri is dedicated to providing family eye care, seeing patients of all ages. He
believes that all children should have an eye exam at an early age to avoid learning issues in school.Dr. Llambiri can evaluate the need for corrective lenses or Vision Therapy which can
help a child succeed in learning and achieve better grades. He is experienced in diagnosing, treating and managing many types of Binocular Vision disorders that can negatively affect day to-day activities such as focusing, reading and learning. He has seen that Vision Therapy can help with these issues both before and after they arise, thus, significantly improving a child’s or adult’s overall success.
Dr. Henry Ettinger
Dr. Henry Ettinger served on the faculty of the SUNY College of Optometry in 1983. He taught students ocular disease detection, refractive, and eye-muscle disorder evaluation procedures. Dr. Ettinger gained extensive experience in Dr. Elliot Forrest’s office for a year in 1985, where he conducted vision therapy evaluations and sessions. Dr. Forrest was one of the nation’s leading authorities on vision. Dr. Ettinger established his Manhattan clinic in 1986 to serve the visual needs of children and adults.
Board Certified in Vision Development and Therapy
The College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD) certified Dr. Ettinger as a Fellow of the College in 2006. The COVD International Examination and Certification Board process includes a rigorous evaluation of the eye care professional’s knowledge and abilities in providing developmental and behavioral vision care for patients. Optometrists who successfully complete their certification process are Board Certified in Vision Development and Vision Therapy and are designated Fellows of COVD.
